Engineering Sustainable Futures Through Innovation & Digital Transformation
This competition highlights the vital role of engineering innovation and digital transformation in shaping a more sustainable future. Participants are encouraged to explore creative solutions by integrating emerging technologies, data-driven approaches, and advanced engineering practices.
Through this platform, ICETSD 2026 aims to inspire ideas that enhance efficiency, resilience, and environmental performance—contributing to impactful solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Aim of Competition
To provide a global platform for students to showcase innovative and impactful ideas through a concise 3-minute video, promoting creativity, sustainability, and the application of engineering and digital solutions aligned with real-world challenges and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The ICETSD 2026 Innovation & Invention Competition provides an international platform for students to showcase creative ideas and innovative solutions through a concise 3-minute video presentation. The competition focuses on sustainability, engineering innovation, and digital transformation, bringing together students from diverse disciplines and institutions worldwide.
Participants will have the opportunity to present impactful ideas, exchange knowledge, and contribute solutions that support technological advancement, societal resilience, and environmental sustainability.

Our SDGs
The ICETSD 2026 Innovation & Invention Competition aligns with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Quality Education (SDG 4), Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), Climate Action (SDG 13), and Life Below Water (SDG 14).
Through innovative ideas and interdisciplinary approaches, this competition encourages participants to develop inclusive, resilient, and sustainable solutions that address real-world challenges and contribute to a better future for society and the environment.
Competition Tracks
Eligibility Criteria
The competition is OPEN to polytechnics, diploma and degree students from all higher education institutions.
Participation is open to local and international institutions.
Only student-led research or innovation projects are eligible for submission.
Each team must appoint at least one (1) faculty advisor from an academic institution.
Team Composition
Each team may consist of a maximum of five (5) members.
The first listed member (Team Leader) must be a student who is actively conducting the research or innovation.
Additional team members may include lecturers or researchers, but only after the first student member.
A minimum of one (1) academic advisor from the faculty is mandatory.
Team members are recognized strictly according to the names submitted during registration. No changes are allowed after submission.
Submission Requirements
Each team is required to submit:
· An abstract written in English, with a maximum length of 200 words. An acceptance notification will be sent via email after the abstract has been evaluated by the review panel.

· A three (3)-minute innovation video, only after the abstract has been accepted to be uploaded in youtube and link to access the video to be shared to us.
Submissions must be completed before the stated deadline.
Late submissions will not be entertained.
Video Submission Guidelines
Video duration must be exactly three (3) minutes.
The video must have:
Clear audio and proper lighting
Minimum background noise
Appropriate, polite, and neat attire
English subtitle (if the speaking language is not English)
The video must be uploaded to team leader’s YouTube account.
Participants must submit the YouTube video link through the official submission channel.
The YouTube link must be:
Publicly accessible, and
Downloadable by the organizers and judges.
Videos that cannot be accessed or downloaded will be disqualified.
Language Policy
Abstract submission must be in English only.
Innovation Video Presentation:
be presented in English with subtitle, OR
be presented in any preferred language, provided that English subtitles are included.
Submissions without English subtitles (if not presented in English) will not be evaluated.
Judging & Evaluation
All submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges from academia and industry.
Entries will be assessed based on the official Scoring Guide.
The decision of the judges is FINAL.
No appeals, complaints, or correspondence regarding judging decisions will be entertained.

*The decisions of the Judges and the Organising Committee are final. We sincerely appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all participants, as appeals will not be entertained.
Awards & Recognition
Track-Based Awards
Each competition track adopts a score-based evaluation system. Awards will be conferred based on the final marks awarded by the judging panel.
Gold Award: 90 – 100
Silver Award: 75 – 89
Bronze Award: 60 – 74
Merit Award: 50 – 59
All participating teams will be evaluated using a standardized judging rubric to ensure fairness and consistency across all tracks.
📜 E-Certificate
All teams will receive an official ICETSD 2026 e-certificate indicating their awarded category (Gold / Silver / Bronze / Merit).

One e-certificate will be issued per team, listing the names of all registered team members.
Award Certificate
One e-certificate will be issued per award-winning team, listing the names of all registered team members.
Conference Participation
All participants are eligible to join ICETSD 2026 virtually.
Participation in the competition does not require physical attendance.
